Could This Be the Racial Cure for this Country?

I know of this plant's healing power and I've always wondered "What if it can cure race relations in this country also?"

I have been an active marijuana user for the last 40 years consistently. I used it for recreational purposes back in the day but now I am a medical marijuana user and writer. I know of this plant's healing power and I've always wondered "What if it can cure race relations in this country also?" I know what you're thinking "Oh buddy here is burnt out" but just hear me out...What is one thing all lovers of the leaf have in common???....It's that no matter our race creed or color, we are all lovers of the leaf and that is what connects us all...

Here is an example. I recently went to work at a car dealership in Virginia and it was a country store in an old-fashioned part of town. This is when the election was starting and this was a Pro Trump place. They had Trump banners everywhere and played country music all day. I come in as a Yankee Northerner (being from Philly) and a Black Lives Matter sympathizer, meaning I know that Black lives never mattered in America.

Of course all lives matter but Black lives never did... But I never got into all that I just showed up every day on time and sold cars. At first, the people I needed to help me wouldn't really speak to me and I understood why. They had a "whoever we know the best is who we help" mentality and I'm the new Black guy from Philly. Over time, once they got to know me it got better, but once they found out that I was a true lover of the plant all the doors opened up and we became family. Now I'm talking red neck back in the woods boys are so cool with the new Black guy they start opening up about all the inner workings of the dealership and even giving me their friends and family for deals.

Why all this love all of a sudden? Because they found out I was a plant loving O.G. and they would always bring me in new samples to try out when I made it home. They found out through all our differences that we had something in common that was stronger than prejudice. Some there started sharing personal stories with me that their own best friends for years knew nothing about. All because we shared a natural love for a plant and they realized I was a cool co-worker. We all got along better than I've ever seen at these stores because most of the employees medicated with marijuana. From the most diverse backgrounds, we found out we could all work together and have fun all day instead of bitter arguments and stress.

Then it hit me. Why can't all of America be like this? We know we will never be over at each other's houses barbecuing but while at work we can get along and even prosper together. Why is this even possible? Because of a love for a plant. The plant itself doesn't care what color you are and what religion you practice. If you love it, it will love you back. It will heal you and your family if you need it to and I know it can heal this country.

With all the racial hatred reaching all-time highs, we have to do something to show that hate will never win. A lot of racism has seeped its way to the top now that Trump is President and he played on people's hate for votes but once again Black people are not going anywhere so we are going to have to find a way to at least get along and I have found our common denominator. Now if you don't use the plant I understand but if you do just think...Does it matter what color your connect is as long as they give you quality and right quantity? NO. Who cares about color as long as everything is good?

So I suggest to Trump and his dysfunctional white house that they try to calm down and just medicate with the rest of America so we can at least live together in peace...You heard it here first!!
